Can I request a male provider for a Manzilian?
Yes. Note it when booking or at your consultation and we will schedule you with our male provider shift. All intimate area treatments happen in a private, dedicated room.
Does it work on coarse, dense hair like a back or beard line?
That is where laser is strongest. Coarse dark hair absorbs more laser energy, so men typically see visible reduction earlier, often by session 3 or 4. Our Candela GentleMax Pro is the same platform leading Toronto clinics use for men's backs and chests.
How many sessions until I stop shaving?
Most men need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. By session 4 you will shave less and less. By the end of the series, most hair is gone for good with the occasional touch up once or twice a year.
Do I shave before the appointment?
Yes. Shave the area 12 to 24 hours before so there is stubble but no surface hair. Do not wax, pluck, or epilate for 4 weeks before. Those pull the follicle, which is what the laser needs to target.
Will it mess with my tattoos?
Laser is absorbed by pigment, so we work around tattoos rather than over them. Bring a photo or come in so we can map it at your consultation.
Is there any downtime?
You walk out and go back to work or the gym the same day. Skip the sauna and direct sun for 24 hours. That is the full aftercare.
Deposit and cancellation?
A $50 deposit holds your spot and counts toward your treatment. Reschedule up to 24 hours before with no penalty.
